Biography
After completing my undergraduate degree In Agricultural Systems Management from Texas A&M University, I spent two years at Vulcan Materials Company in the management leadership development program. While in this program I had the pleasure of leading and working with a diverse staff that ultimately became a second family to me. Recognizing my passion for leadership, I sought out an MBA at Texas A&M University to help grow my business understanding and leadership skills. In my Career I focused on 2 main things, team building, and improving efficiency. In terms of team building, I sought to build teams that leveraged everyone’s unique strengths. While my time at Vulcan was brief, the strides I made to improve the program resulted in permanent changes. I led the decision to roll out lean six sigma courses to all leadership trainees. Because of my initiative, I was able to complete my greenbelt project and save the company about $850,000 annually- as well as reducing downtime for my facility by 2%. Taking on new projects, researching optimal outcomes, and working in close teams is the perfect blend of my professional interests. I want to learn and grow with a company that is confident in their innovation, leadership, and excellence. I am inspired to prove that my skills will positively impact your organization.
